The toolkit has been primarily designed for environmental organisations, community-based organisations, women’s groups, religious groups and disability groups in Trinidad and Tobago. However, the accountability principles are in many ways applicable to any type of organisation and the tools could be adapted to a different institutional context.

  • identifies common principles of accountability for CSOs in Trinidad and Tobago
  • highlights how civil society organisations currently demonstrate good accountability practice and also provide good practice standards
  • provides practical steps, tools and frameworks that CSOs can use to realise accountability in their day-to-day activities and interactions with stakeholders.
